Modern development tools: Business Central has moved entirely to Visual Studio Code, and Microsoft continues to invest in areas that enhance productivity for developers.
Making Cloud More Accessible: Microsoft is investing in the future. They want everyone on cloud. Starting July 1, 2021, Microsoft is offering more file space per user, less expensive storage options, and file compression. The price of additional storage space has been dropped from $40 per GB to $10 per GB. Price of adding 100GB has been reduced from $4,000 to just $500. Thus, making it a lot more affordable. Microsoft is also compressing data stored in the cloud, reducing the data footprint by over 50%. This means less cloud storage can handle more data.
Flexible options to install updates: Microsoft is constantly releasing updates. Minor updates that are typically released every month can be delayed by 3 weeks. Major updates that are released every six months can be delayed by up to 60 days. This will allow customers the time to do the testing before release is applied.
Easier Reporting: Microsoft has introduced a new report extension that makes it easier for customers to make changes in base reports. For example, adding a field, or changing layout, that earlier used to present problems has been improvised now.
